Peter Behrens is best known for his work as an grahpic designer and architect, but he also designed a number of typefaces including Behrens Antiqua. The unusual shapes and proportions of the capital letters are believed to be inspired by the Gothic Alphabet found on the Codex Argenteus. One revival of Behrens Antiqua already exists, but it lacks the sophistication of the original. Behrens Antique restores the original sophistication, and remasters it by adding additional language support—including the Gothic Alphabet. Behrens Antique also includes the decorative capitals present in the original but missing from the previously attempted revival. Suitable for display purposes as well as long-form typesetting, Behrens Antique is perfect for a good Norse myth or fairytale.
